McBride Charles Ryan is one of Australia’s most awarded architectural and interior design practices. Its two principals, Robert McBride and Debbie Ryan, have created some of Melbourne’s most striking residential buildings, including two remarkable projects for MAB: The Quays (2013) and Banksia (2018) at NewQuay, Docklands.
MCR’s architectural excellence is also expressed in lauded project such as the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne and the Music Centre at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar which won the Australian Institute of Architects 2021 award (Victoria) for educational architecture in 2021.
